New Exhibition at the Rangeley History Museum - Rangeley Region History Makers

In Celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary and the Rangeley Region’s Unique History

Rangeley Region History Makers is a new exhibition at the Rangeley History Museum in 2026. This exhibition features 20 legendary personalities that made history since the early 19th century right here in the Rangeley Region. Come for a visit Saturdays and Sundays in July and August! Don’t forget to look up as you walk down Rangeley’s Main Street or explore Oquossoc Village - the Rangeley Region History Makers are also featured on street pole banners in 2026!

Outdoor Heritage Museum

The Outdoor Heritage Museum shares the unique history that has made the Rangeley region one of the premier outdoor destinations in America. It is a “must see” for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and was twice recognized by Yankee Magazine as the “Best Outdoor Museum in New England.” The Museum’s treasures will surprise you as you become immersed in the stories of Rangeley icons like Carrie Stevens, Herb Welch, Cornelia “Fly Rod” Crosby and many others via artifacts, vintage film, and art.

Rangeley History Museum

The Rangeley History Museum is the original Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society headquarters at 2472 Main Street in Rangeley - housed in a 1905 bank building on the National Register of Historic Places! Explore special exhibits on the history of the region, visit the Museum Store, and see the bank’s original vault! Admission is free.
