The Palmer Society - Preserving the legacy and history of the Rangeley Region
The Palmer Society, launched in 2025 and named in honor of Don and Stephanie Palmer, is an honorary membership group for individuals that have made Historic Rangeley a beneficiary in their estate planning in any amount. All those who inform Historic Rangeley staff or board members of their planned giving intentions are entitled to be named as members of the Palmer Society and will be recognized in the organization’s Annual Report and at other occasional events and tributes. A gift of any size included in your estate plan entitles the intended donor to membership in The Palmer Society.
The program title “The Palmer Society” is a tribute to the late president of the Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society (now Historic Rangeley) Don Palmer and his wife Stephanie Palmer, who so enthusiastically promoted and shared Rangeley Region history with the public and who worked tirelessly to develop the organization’s Outdoor Heritage Museum.
Palmer Society members create a legacy in the donor’s name (or anonymously, if desired) that lives on, assuring the future of Historic Rangeley and the preservation of Rangeley Region history for generations to come.
